Dean Phillips Presidential Campaign

One of the key components of democracy is to have choices for the voters to choose from. And, in the 2024 election, 77% of voters wanted other candidates than Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Congressman Dean Phillips was a lone voice within the Democratic party calling on other potential candidates to run for president. Joe Biden was losing in the polls and was not looking likely to win. Phillips' was told by Democratic leadership that Biden would be the nominee, and to stop shaking the boat.

Phillips recognized that he likely did not have the name recognition to win the race, however, maybe his campaign could draw enough attention that others would join the race as well.

Given how unknown the campaign was, I saw an opportunity to contribute meaningfully by making viral social media videos to raise awareness. My content throughout the campaign gathered over 2 million views.

We didn't win. But I feel proud looking back knowing that I contributed to something I knew was right, even if few people agreed at the time.
